The 26-episode series, which originally ran on TV Tokyo and Hero TV from July 6 to December 28, 2005, will come out on DVD sometime this spring. Suzuka follows the travails of an adolescent sprinter named Yamato Akitsuki as he tries to win the love of Suzuka Asahina, his neighbor and a fellow track star at his high school. FUNimation also announced that it is working on a cross-promotion deal with Del Rey, which publishes the Suzuka manga in North America. There are currently 14 volumes in the Suzuka saga.
